The Waiver Wire - FantasyMania Round 2

At New Looks hair salon, Jesse Barksdale is finishing his haircut,
as Brother Nicholas walks in.

Brother Nicholas
You reached out to a third party,
who engaged me in the purpose of holding your territories.
That third person's word was your word, and he represented you.

Jesse Barksdale
That's right.

Brother Nicholas
And I ran those Fantasy Managers off.
I held up my end of the agreement, at least, until I was physically able.

Jesse Barksdale
You did.

Brother Nicholas
Your man, Mr. Bell, then setup a meeting with Victor Oumar.
Your man told Victor Oumar that I was responsible for the murder of his
mentor, LeGarrette Blount.
Your man, in effect, sought to have me killed.

Jesse Barksdale
Oumar told you that? And you believe that mother fucker?

Brother Nicholas
He doesn't strike me as a man who would tell stories.
Even at the point of dying.

Jesse Barksdale
... shit.

Jesse Barksdale
How can we fix it?
What do you want? Money?
The league's grand prize total?

Brother Nicholas
Money?

Jesse Barksdale
Yeah, this is business.

Brother Nicholas
Business is where you are right now.
But what got you here, is your word and your reputation.
With that alone, you've still got a chance to win it all next season.
Without that, your Fantasy career is finished.

"If I hear music, I'm gonna dance."
- Detective Joyce

At the SCGD Unit, we see a surveillance camera outside Kenneth Bell's paper store.

Jacoby Brissett
Minh.
Take a look at this.

Detective Minh walks over.

Jacoby Brissett
I've never seen him smoking before.
And he's pacing like a mother fucker.

Det. Minh
Heavy is the head that wears the crown.

In his office, Kenneth Bell stands in his office in heavy thought.

Kenneth Bell picks up the phone.

Operator
Operator, how many I direct your call?

Kenneth Bell
San Francisco Police Department.

Back at the liquor store,
SFPD Homicide Unit has arrived to find Oumar's body.

Chris Carson walks in.

Austin Ekeler
You should've let me give him the years.
He would've been better off.

Chris Carson
Professional job?

Austin Ekeler
Nah, we thought so at first.
But the store clerk lady, says it was a short kid with a big gun.

Chris Carson
How short?

Chris Carson grabs a list found on Oumar's body.

Kevlo - Palega Rec Center
David - St. Mary's
Robby - Fillmore
Jared Cook - Glenn Park
Keenan Allen - Excelsior
The Greek - ???

Chris Carson
Back on the hunt, were you?

Ahead of Week 15, Kevlo Stanfield meets with his team.

David Johnson
Still no sign of him.
But I ain't on nothing else until we find him.

Kevlo Stanfield
Y'all aint heard?

Kevlo Stanfield
Oumar bagged up.
Shit.. I thought y'all was gonna tell me.

Robby Anderson
Who got him?

Kevlo Stanfield
Some young boy.

Robby Anderson
Who??

Kevlo Stanfield
Ain't heard a name, don't even know if there was a why?

David Johnson appears disappointed to hear the manner in which Oumar died,
unsatisfied that there was no final showdown with Oumar.

Kevlo Stanfield
That shit is gone. Now we onto the next.
You and I, we've gone farther than that Stealthy mother fucker ever did.
We one win away from the Championship game.
Now we going after the big fish.
I want that 2x Champion's head, you heard me?
11-2... we're about to finish his season once and for all.

Narrator
Out in Central Valley, the Former 2x Champion,
Rocksonberg prepares for his next great feat.
Taking on 2nd seed and also former 2x Champion, Detective Joyce.

Narrator
The now 7-0, Rocksonberg, looks to continue his playoff magic.

Narrator
On Sunday, the question looms large.
Does The Greek have what it takes to take down the SCGD?

Lieutenant Kevin
Joyce, first of all, I just want to say congratulations.
Congratulations on making it this far into the 2019 Playoffs.
You're the last remaining Seattle cousin left and we think you can finish the job.

Lieutenant Kevin
But.. last season, we all know what happened when you went undercover.
It didn't need to happen the way it happened and we failed to protect you.
It's my responsibility to protect my officers, so I'm asking you now.
Do you want to sit this one out?

Detective Joyce
Lieutenant, are you crazy?
We are this close to winning it all.
It's a race to 3 Championship titles between Kenneth Bell, Rocksonberg and myself.
I can't quit now and jeopardize everything we've worked for.
I can put Rocksonberg away this weekend.
And then give me what's left of Kenneth Bell or Kevlo Stanfield.
I can do it, boss.

Lieutenant Kevin
No one's doubting your ability as a Fantasy Manager.
I think it's safe to say, you've been the most consistent
Seattle Fantasy Manager in the last 5 years.
But these as dangerous Fantasy Managers left in the tournament.
I'm not saying we give up on this.
But I can bring someone else in.
Maybe Detective Minh or Howard can step in for you.

Detective Joyce
Lieutenant, if I hear music, I'm gonna dance.
You can crown me as the most consistent Fantasy Manager when I bring home a 3rd title.

In Colma, Kenneth Bell meets with former SFPD Officer, Frank Tenpenny.

Kenneth Bell
Did you check out the information I sent you?

Frank Tenpenny
Yeah. Your information is good.

Kenneth Bell
So it ain't what it seem like to you.
That man right there, is my brother.
But he's in the consolation bracket, doing everything he can to protect his rep.
Problem is, if this keep up every season,
he's going down as one of the worst Fantasy Managers in league history.
Marred by inconsistencies, draft busts, injuries.
Going to war with other Fantasy Managers, bringing all this police attention.
If this beef with Kevlo keep up like it been, then we all gonna lose.

Kenneth Bell
Now I can put him in a spot with heavy artillery.
I'm talking about semi-automatics, mini tech 9s.
They even got grenades in that mother fucker.

Frank Tenpenny
That's an automatic fall.

Kenneth Bell
So I'm hoping you can keep that shit to 5.
If you hit the joint, his people gonna take the wrap for it anyways.
They gonna say all that firepower is theirs.
So all you gotta do is hit him with the parole backup.

Frank Tenpenny
I can't make no promises.
It's gonna be a nickel at least.

Kenneth Bell
Come on, man... him and me....

Frank Tenpenny
I'm gonna do my best, okay?

Kenneth Bell hands Tenpenny a piece of paper.

Frank Tenpenny
And he's always at this place?

Kenneth Bell
No, he come and go.
But it's the spot since the playoffs started.

Frank Tenpenny
He must have done something to you.

Kenneth Bell
Nah, it's just business.
