The Waiver Wire Episode 6: House Down

Det. Joyce
So... I won a couple of weeks ago.
And you said you'd hear me out about Trump.

Det. Tai
I'm here ain't I?
So tell me, what does The Greek have to do with President Trump?

Det. Minh
Well we know that The Greek is the leading distributor of Blue Methamphetamine
in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Det. Minh
And Proposition Vinny is selling Blue Meth to the drugs addicts in San Francisco.
He must have a connection with The Greek, maybe even know his identity.
We know his connection is through Travis Kelce, a member of The Greeks.

Det. Minh
And then there's President Trump.
We know he has an expensive presidential campaign funded by his own money.
But how did Trump build his empire?

Det. Minh
Hotels, real estate, casinos and businesses right?
At least, that's what we've been told.

Det. Minh
Our research shows that President Trump met a man by the name of Martin Byrde in the early 80s.
The same Martin Byrde who is rumored to be running drug money through various local businesses in Ozark, Missouri for the Mexican drug cartel and various other drug dealers across the country.

Det. Tai
So you're telling me Donald Trump built his empire on drug money
and possibly became elected behind it?

Det. Minh
I don't know what to tell you.
But I do know that one of President Trump's assets is a company called Madrigal Electromotive.

The Baugh
A parent company highly diversified in industrial equipment, manufacturing, global shipping and construction, including the fast food chain, Los Pollos Hermanos.

The Baugh
Over the summer, we brought down the owner of Los Pollos Hermanos, Gustavo Fring.
And Gustavo Fring was directly linked to the blue meth sold in New Mexico.
We believe he was partnered with The Greek and now The Greek has brought his business to San Francisco.

Kirk Cousins
Our mystery man, The Greek, could be anyone.
And we believe he is the missing piece to the puzzle.
If we find The Greek, we may be able to bring down the President.
But as of right now, we know nothing about The Greek.

Kirk Cousins
We know he's a brilliant meth cook, purity levels over 9000.
So whoever this man is, must be a chemistry genius.
And like I said, he could be anyone.
Your neighbor, your cousin, your brother... literally anyone.
I can't think of anyone I know that fits the description.
But we have narrowed our window.
We believe The Greek is a black male between the height of 4'7" and 6'8".

Det. Tai
So we're not just going after drug dealers anymore?
We're going at the biggest name you can find.
You want to find the local dealers to find the supplier to find the man.
You want to bring the entire house down.

Det. Minh
You follow drugs, you get drug addicts and drug dealers.
But you start to follow the money...
and you don't know where the fuck it's going to take you.

Det. Tai
Well I know where to start.
SFPD just pulled in a report.
A couple of local dealers got caught selling blue meth on the South side.
And you won't guess which corner they belong to...

Det. Tai
Kenneth Bell.

"Oumar don't scare." - Victor Oumar

Week 9 opens with a crime scene.
Jimmy Graham's body is found on display for the streets to see.
SFPD is on the scene taking notes and gathering evidence.

Erick Stevens catches glimpse of Graham's body.
Shocked by what he's seeing.

We cut to Albert Wilson,
after being cut by Barksdale's team,
Albert Wilson is attempting to sell drugs independently in hopes of getting back in the good graces of the Barksdale Organization.

Wilson approaches a dealer.

Albert Wilson
You got the stuff?

Drug Dealer
You got the cash?

Albert Wilson
So we in business or what?

The dealer hands Wilson few ounces of heroin.

Drug Dealer
Oh, we're in business alright...
You're under arrest.

The dealer turned out to be an undercover police officer for Minh's Team.

Victor Oumar
Let me see him.

In the SCGD unit, Det. Tai has invited Victor Oumar to take a look at Jimmy Graham.

Det. Tai
Detective Joyce has a few questions for you regarding the killing of your boyfriend.

Victor Oumar
Look, what y'all want me to say?
Ain't nothing I can tell y'all that'll bring Jimmy back to life.

Det. Joyce
Who killed Jimmy Graham?
You have to have some idea who did it.

Victor Oumar
Man, it could've been anyone.
But regardless of who did it, it ain't have nothing to do with y'all.
I'll handle it the way Oumar handle it.

Det. Joyce
Street justice?
Look Oumar, we can help you find Graham's killers if you're willing to cooperate with us.
We'll do right by Graham.
And then we can bring real justice to the men who did this.

Victor Oumar
Look the game is out there, so it's either play or get played, ya feel me?
So y'all can do your own independent research on who killed Jimmy Graham.
But I'ma do what I do.

Det. Joyce
You go out there and you kill someone else, that'll just be another murder we have to solve.
I mean, you being who you are, I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to find some dirt on you.
Is that what you want?
Should we take a closer look at Victor Oumar?

Det. Joyce
Cause if that's how you wanna play it, I won't hesitate to throw the book at you.
So I'm gonna need you to help me out a little.
Was it Barksdale?
They did put a bounty on you.
Perhaps they finally caught up with the first place, Victor Oumar.

Victor Oumar
Look, what yall need from me, man?

Det. Joyce
Can you set up a meet with Kenneth Bell?
Somewhere public, tell him you wanna talk peace.
See if you guys can work things out.
And then maybe we put a wire on you.
Maybe tie him to the Graham killing.

Victor Oumar
Heh.
A wire huh?
Look, I'll do this for y'all cause what they did to Jimmy, wasn't called for.
Murder, that ain't no thing. But all that extra shit...
Nah, Stringer got to go. Barksdale too.
So whatever it is y'all need me to do.
I'm your man.

Det. Joyce
And you ain't afraid to be caught wearing a wire?

Victor Oumar
Oumar don't scare.

Across the city, Det. Tai makes a trip to a local paper company, Dunder Mifflin Inc.
The business owner? None other than Kenneth "Stringer" Bell.

Kenneth Bell
Whoa, whoa, check this out right here.
We ordered 6 orders of card stock and you only sending me 5.
I don't know what you gotta do, but whatever it is, you gotta do it.
Call up Michael Scott, if you have to.
But I want 6 orders of card stock, you hear me?

Detective Tai loses his patience and steps into Bell's business.

Kenneth Bell
Officer.

Det. Tai
Detective, String.
You remember, from D'justin's trial.

Kenneth Bell
Of course I do.
How can I help you?
You're here to make some copies?
Maybe a couple of affidavits? Search warrants?
Anything I can do to help out.

Det. Tai
I haven't seen you around the way lately.

Kenneth Bell
That's cause I ain't around the way no more.
You wanna find me, I'm right here.

Det. Tai
Oh, is that so?
Out the game, just like that?

Kenneth Bell
Just like that.

Det. Tai
You disappoint me, String.
I had such fucking hopes for us.

Kenneth Bell
Say, where you living man?
Cause I mean, outside of this paper company, I also run a real estate business.
Got a few condos coming out next fall.
You say the word, I'll hook you up real nice.

Det. Tai
Condo huh?

Det. Tai
Let's cut the bullshit, Kenneth.
We all see you and Barksdale struggling right now.
7th and 8th place in the league.
And I know a lot of that has to do with us monitoring your movements.
And I have a little piece of advice for you.
Stay out of the playoffs.
Because if I see you or Barksdale come playoff time, I'm putting the bracelets on you.
And then I'll wipe that smirk off your face.

Kenneth Bell
I can hear the hostility in your voice, officer.
There's no need to feel threatened by me.
I'm just a business owner of this here paper company.
Your legacy, as an all-time great in the WCC?
Nah, don't worry about it, officer.
I'm not coming for your spot.
I'm just... moving along.
Doing my best to be a productive member of society.
Helping to give back to the community.
To the league, you know?

Det. Tai
I want you to know, String.
One of these days, I'm going to have you dead to rights.
And I can't wait to see the look on your face when you realize,
that I am the better Fantasy Manager.
I will catch you, String.

Kenneth Bell
If you could've, you would've.
You have a good day, officer.
Go fuck yourself on the way out, alright?
