Week 4 Recap: Kevin's Grand Team vs. Next Man Up

Prior to Sunday's match ups, Victor Oumar returns to San Francisco after hearing news of
LeGarrette Blount's murder.
He pays a visit to Kenneth Bell.

Victor Oumar
What's it been? About a year?
Boy, I've been looking to see you again.

Kenneth Bell
Heard you went and retired from the game.
It's unfortunate what happened to LeGarrette Blount.
I figure, that's why you're back in town.

Victor Oumar
No doubt. And if I find out either you or Barksdale had something to do with it...

Kenneth Bell
Well let me put your mind at rest.
We'd be foolish to get on your bad side.
Bring you back out of retirement and all.

Kenneth Bell
Word is, Kevlo Stanfield is behind the hit.
Streets say, you did him wrong last season when you robbed a high stakes poker game.
Boy wanted his revenge.
And to get the job done, he hired a third party.
Guy who wears a bowtie, goes by the name of Brother Nicholas.
That's your shooter.

Victor Oumar
How do I know you ain't making this up?

Kenneth Bell
You don't.
You can take it or leave it.
But like I said, last thing I'd want to do is get on your bad side.
Consider this, an olive branch.

Sunday's Matchups

Construction Manager
As you can see, we're making significant progress with the upfront fee from Jesse Jackson.
Problem is, we have unanticipated cost from the steel.
Cost of steel has doubled and will triple if we wait.
If you want this done now, I suggest you use the bulk of that FAAB budget.

Jesse Barksdale
Yo, if it was y'all that fucked up with these unanticipated costs.
Shouldn't it be y'all that take the hit?
I mean, my man here don't know nothing about no steel costs.
He just trying to get some shit built.
Y'all supposed to be the experts about this type of shit, right?
All I'm saying is, doesn't look like the expertise is where it's supposed to be.

Construction Manager
Unfortunately Mr. Barksdale, cost overruns is the nature of the business.

Kenneth Bell
How much FAAB are we talking about?

Construction Manager
We should discuss these matters over lunch.

Jesse Barksdale
Man, hell no.
I got some place else to be.

Singles Match
No Trade League vs. Veto Belfort

Julio Jones spends his Sunday afternoon eating lunch.

He's approached by Det. Tai, who asks if he can sit.

Julio Jones shrugs his shoulders, implying his indifference.

Det. Tai
Haven't seen you around the way since the towers went down.

Julio Jones
Ain't been around the way.
Been a lack of work, if you know what I mean.

Jesse Barksdale
So you mean to tell me, we ain't got no where to go?
We getting outmaneuvered by a first year Fantasy Manager?

Kenneth Bell
To be fair, everyone is struggling to start the season.
The Greek, Kevlo Stanfield, Prop Vinny.
None of them have started the season particularly well.
5-0 got the streets locked down early on.
Brother Nicholas is working out well,
he's helped keep Prop Vinny from winning in Week 4.

Jesse Barksdale
Listen, man.
Let Kenyan Drake tell me what's going on.
That's what we pay him for right?

From across the street, David Johnson of Kevlo's team is canvassing the area.

David Johnson
Drive by them, slow.

David Johnson lets off a shotgun blast into Barksdale's car.

Jesse Barksdale
Drive mother fucker! Drive!

Det. Tai
Well if you're ever looking for work.
We could use someone like you.

PA Radio
Attention all cars.
We have a 10-71.
Reports of shots fired.

Det. Tai
10-4, HQ. I'm on it.
To Julio Jones:
We should do this again some time.

Winner via Pinfall:
No Trade League

No Trade League improves to a perfect 4-0 start and remains in first place.
Veto Belfort falls to 1-3, struggling early on.

Singles Match
Next Man Up vs. Kevin's Grand Team

Later that evening, Victor Oumar arrives at Kevlo Stanfield's hideout.

Victor Oumar
To Justin Jackson:
Last chance to back out.
We go in there, I'm not leaving without Kevlo's head.

Justin Jackson
I'm all in, boss.

Victor Oumar's team runs in but is quickly ambushed by Kevlo's team.

David Johnson and Mike Evans has Victor Oumar surrounded,
firing off shots from all corners.
Victor Oumar finds that Justin Jackson has been shot dead.
He's outgunned 3-1.

Victor Oumar decides that his only way out is to retreat.
He breaks through a window and jumps out of the building,
injuring his ankle in the process.

Winner via Pinfall:
Kevin's Grand Team

Next Man Up loses his first game of the season, dropping to 3-1.
Kevin wins his second game in a row,
gaining momentum as we near the midpoint of the season.
