So like any other city, this city is alive and this city has street food.
I am currently in Ta Lo and I've been in Ta Lo all offseason training with Ouroboros.
He's helped me put together my Fantasy Team
and sort of shown me the ropes for a great Fantasy Football strategy.
Ouroboros and the city of Ta Lo welcomed me with open arms at the end of last season
and they have shown me nothing but great hospitality.

I've really been enjoying my time in this city,
and I figured I'd record a little video diary to show you
some of the great street food that they have to offer in Ta Lo.

I've got to be completely honest here,
I still don't know exactly what I'm doing here in Ta Lo.
Ouroboros tells me that it's something about some war across universes.
I don't really know what he's talking about,
but I've been training extremely hard all offseason and I'm excited about this upcoming season.
So with my training, at the end of the day, I've built up quite the appetite.
So sometimes I come to these street vendors and I've had my eye on this one.
It smells of wonderful spice and I can't wait to try some.

So I've got to try this first.
Mid range spice, they ask how spicy do I want and
I say not too spicy, but not weak spicy.
I think this is fried marinated lamb and it looks and smells delicious.
And it is delicious. It's absolutely delicious.
If you're ever in Ta Lo, try the street foods.

I also want to point out that I've been spending a lot of time here in Ta Lo
and I've really come to learn their culture and their language.

Okay, I can't eat all of this great food
without washing it down with a Ta Lo staple.
This here is called Bobo Tea.

Bobo is a popular Ta Lo drink
as you can see these little bubbles or Bobos at the bottom.
I guess they're tapioca and they give you this huge straw
and you're supposed to drive it in and just enjoy it.
It's a milk sweetened tea with a mystery at the bottom.
That's the best way I can describe it.

Mmm... I got a lot of the Bobo.
It's chewy... and it's great.
Overall experience, it's tea with a gooey gummy finish.

and the American Nightmare, Vincent Rhodes beating AL-LEX Knight 99.62 - 67.98.

But that's not all Pat, at the conclusion of our broadcast,
we witnessed the shocking return of CM PUP.

It has been a journey for Vincent Rhodes here in the WCC.
This Fantasy Manager went from finishing in the bottom of the League
in 2022 and 2023 to his first playoff appearance in 2024.
It was a breakout year for the young Superstar,
and although he was eliminated in the first round,
having had the playoff experience, he looks to capitalize as we head into 2025.

From Undesirable to Undeniable.
Vincent Rhodes has officially arrived in the West Coast Cousins.

We could start with 2022.
My first time playing in the West Coast Cousins.
Vincent Rhodes
We can talk about where it all started for Vincent Rhodes.
A young upstart, playing in a private league for the first time.
First time playing for cash and for the very first time,
participating in an Auction Draft.
We all know the story. Vincent Rhodes blunders with the first few picks.
Spent $79 for Jonathan Taylor, followed by $77 for Cooper Kupp in back to back picks.
And just one pick later, it's $25 for Lamar Jackson and my night is over.
Hell, my season was over. Just like that.

There's no denying, it was a risky move.
My entire season was contingent on 3 players..
and when that strategy failed to pan out, well... I could have quit.
No, it's true. The Auction Draft can be a brutal son of a bitch.
We all know that it can make some people quit.

But that's not Vincent Rhodes.
I'm not a quitter and I refuse to go down like that.
But with that being said, I'd like to tell you that the following season was better.
It wasn't.
Despite having a regular season record of 7-7,
I ended up finishing the season in last place.
And it all became so clear to me.
What I was doing, wasn't working.
"The Dashing Vincent Rhodes" was never going to make it as a main event talent in the WCC.

So I rebuilt myself.
From the ground up, I spent the entire offseason working on a new strategy.
Rebranding my image here in the WCC.
I made a promise to myself that in 2024, the entire world would see a new Vincent Rhodes.
And just like that with a blink of an eye, the American Nightmare is here.

I know you've seen it. The entire Kang Universe is capable of viewing the multiverse.
So in 2023, my counterpart lost the Kingdom of Wakanda.

Last year, I had my FantasyMania moment.
I made it to the Show of Shows.
But this time, I'm going for it all...

But I'm afraid a greater threat looms on the horizon...
and perhaps our only chance to defeat this threat is with the help of the Ten Rings.

A long time ago, a great Fantasy Manager rose to prominence.
Through perseverance and sheer will, a Legendary Fantasy Manager led an entire league.

The teachings that Evenly and I have bestowed upon you,
is the same teachings that this Legendary Manager once bestowed upon us.
Both Evenly and I learned from this great manager.
The way he managed his team was an artform.
His dedication knew no bounds.
Ouroboros
And soon, he harassed the powers of the Ten Rings.
And with that power, he was unstoppable.
Destined to win it all.

But before he could, he faced a being even stronger than him.
Jobu Tupaki.
Otherwise known as Kang the Conqueror.
Kang is a multiversal tyrant who takes any many monikers.
And he will use any and everything within the multiverse to get what he wants.
This manager and Jobu Tupaki faced off in an epic battle...

But Jobu was too strong.
As great as this manager was, he was no match for Jobu Tupaki.
So with his final action, he made a noble sacrifice.
He used the Ten Rings to power the Dark Gate and banish Kang the Conqueror from Ta Lo.
This universe, Earth-41989 is under the protection of the Ten Rings.
It is perhaps the only universe that Kang cannot travel to. At least that we know of.
But if Kang gets ahold of the Ten Rings, Ta Lo could fall.

So what happened to this Legendary Fantasy Manager?

He was killed by Kang.
Kang couldn't get to Ta Lo, but he could still hurt the one who stopped him.

Who was this Legendary Manager?

And he... is a variant of yours.

Across the multiverse, we all have variants.
We all have alternate paths.
And in Earth-41989, you were Shang-Chena.

Instead, Evelyn and I have another idea.
Throughout my many years of multiversal study,
I came across a manual written by Victor Timely, Praise Kier.
And in that manual, I learned of a method he called "Variant Inheritance."

Variant Inheritance? What the hell is that?

It's an ability that allows someone to not only Verse Jump to another world,
but it also allows them to take control of the mind and body of one of their variants.

So... you want me to become Shang-Chena through this inheritance?
But I thought you told me he was dead.

He is dead.
But time works differently in the multiverse.
In present day, in our world, Shang-Chena is no more.
But that doesn't mean you can't inherit his body from another point in time.
A point where Shang-Chena is still alive.

Hold on... this is all sounding a little crazy.
Not only do you want me to take over somebody's body and into another universe,
but you also want me to time travel?
Ouroboros
I know, it's crazy.
Which is why you have to practice first.
Before you inherit the mind and body of Shang-Chena,
we need you to try and inherit some of your other variants.
Somewhere in the multiverse, Kang the Conqueror has created a pocket universe with his own world.
It's a universe all to himself.
We believe he uses this universe as his home base.
A world only known as Earth-KANG.
Not much is known about this universe,
but the rumors state that a large number of his variants live in this world.
We also believe that he uses the world to entertain his own variants.
Some say he brings variants from across the multiverse to this world
to amuse his Council of Kangs, where the variants bet on a winner in a dangerous game.
He calls it... the Kang Games.

And we believe one of your variants is already in his world.
We want you to inherit this variant.
