The conclusion of West Coast Cousins: No Way Holmes.
How are you feeling as we enter Championship Week?
Draymond Green
Ah, I'm excited my brother.
Excited to be here and excited for the upcoming Championship Game.
It's come down to two.
Captain Covfefe and the Batman.
Tai Rogers and Alexander Wayne.
Two of the League's best and I think we're in for a showdown, Rich.
We are just days away from crowning a new League Champion.
And as you know, legacies are built upon Championships.
If you want to earn the respect of yours peers, you need to win it all.
Richard Sherman
You're absolutely right, Dray.
And we know Tai Roger's accolades, his Championship reigns.
We know what kind of historic run he has been on, especially in the early parts of his career.
But as time has gone on, he's watched the pact catch up to him.
Now, we're still multiple 3x League Champions.
And he's even been surpassed by Kendrick Stark.
Stark has the win over him in 2022 and one more Championship banner.
If Tai Rogers wants to get back in the GOAT conversation, he has to win on Sunday.

For sure he has to win on Sunday to get back in the conversation.
But on the other end, we have Alexander Wayne.
And in his short career, Alexander Wayne has made some serious improvements over the years.
He's improved year after year and now he's just one win away from winning the whole thing
and etching his name among some of the greatest this League has ever seen.

Yeah, you're right about that.
And I think a lot of people forget, Alexander Wayne was very close to winning in 2022.
He just needed 13 points from his Quarterback in the Semi-Finals, which isn't a lot to ask for.
Had to done that, he would've won the League Championship in 2022.
But that's just how the game goes sometimes.

Now, before we get into our picks for the Championship Game,
I want to just quickly talk about Thor Rocksinson and Kendrick Stark.

We had two upsets in Week 16 as the two favorites to win the whole thing,
we're both knocked out in the Semi-Finals.
After the season that these two had, how shocked are you
by these Week 16 results?
Draymond Green
Honestly, I'm not that surprised.
These two were having great regular seasons, no doubt about it.
But when it comes to FantasyMania, anything can happen.
Historically, we've seen teams get off to hot starts, only to taper off at the end
maybe due to injury or who knows what.
And that's why Fantasy Football is a marathon, Richard.
It's all about who can get hot at the right time and finish the season strong.

Yeah, but to be one and done? I'm shocked, Dray.
Especially by Thor Rockinson.
An incredible start to the year, one of the greatest regular season performances of all time,
and when you look at that roster, he has a complete team.
I'd venture to say this is the best team that Rocksinson has ever assembled.
And to be one and done? That's got to be heartbreaking.
Draymond Green
Oh, for sure it's heartbreaking.
But he ran into a buzzsaw by the name of Captain Covfefe.
Rogers just had a better performance and that's all there is to it.
Same with Kendrick Stark.
Strong regular season, well rounded team.
But Alex's team just played better on Sunday.
Richard Sherman
Yeah and it doesn't help that Jalens Hurts went down.
But I don't think it would've made a difference in the final result.
Alex's Team was firing on all cylinders on Sunday.

Alright, so let's get into this Finals Matchup.
Alex's Team vs. Captain Covfefe.
We talk a lot about the Circle of Champions, this league is dominated by repeat winners.
But Alex has the opportunity to be the first new League Champion since The Baugh in 2018.
Can he get the job done on Sunday?
Draymond Green
I'm rolling with the Championship mettle.
I've got Captain Covfefe winning his 4th League Championship,
and that GOAT conversation is gonna start to be reignited, Rich.
I think his team is just playing really well right now.
It'll be a close one, but Captain Covfefe comes away with the dub.
Richard Sherman
I'm going the other way, Draymond.
I think it's about time we saw a new League Champion.
The Circle of Champions will be broken on Sunday.
Alexander Wayne has been knocking on the door and he gets the job done.
I think he has the better running backs, receivers are kind of a toss up.
It's gonna come down to the wire for sure, but I see the Batman pulling it out.

In other news, a local man is being lauded as a hero.
A high school science teacher, Nathaniel Richards,
decided to step in and break up a fight between two high school students.
We go to Trish Tilby for more.

It is like a scene straight from a movie.
Caught on a security camera, we see two high school students arguing
when things suddenly become violent.
While bystanders watch, from out of nowhere, a hero emerges.

This is Nathaniel Richards, a high school science teacher.
We had a just to speak with Nathaniel and learned that he is facing his own criminal trial,
being sued by his ex-girlfriend for domestic abuse.

I'm no hero.
I just did what I think anyone upstanding citizen should do.
I intervened.
But the troops, those are the real heroes.

A man of few words.
When asked about his own legal woes, Nathaniel said he hoped to clear his name soon.
And that any additional details could be directed to his lawyer, Saul Goodman.

We had a chance to sit down with Huell to talk about his friend.

Of course, we used to call him by his middle name back then, Kang.
And Kang was always the peacemaker in our group.
Whenever we wanted to go do hoodrat stuff,
Kang is the one who stopped us from getting into trouble.
